OVERVIEW

Impact Foundation expands the impact of charity organizations to solve complex community challenges through our training and coaching, particularly around fundraising. We were able to train nearly 250 organizations and 800-plus people in 2013. We host the region’s go-to charity website which showcases charity missions and meaningful volunteer opportunities they have available, at the same time advancing easy online giving. Our 24-hour online Giving Hearts Day at impactgiveback.org puts training into practice and this year resulted in a $5.7 million influx for 235 charitable causes in North Dakota and western Minnesota. We’re improving business success, too, with expert guidance for North Dakota business owners regarding government contracting so they can sell goods and services to federal, state and local entities.

IMPACT INSTITUTE: DELIVERING A DONOR-CENTRIC MODEL FOR SELF-SUSTAINING NONPROFITS

Since 2005, nearly 4,800 nonprofit executives, staff and directors from more than 400 nonprofits have trained in Impact Institute leadership and fundraising concepts. In 2013, we offered seminars in fundraising, securing major gifts and public speaking to amplify nonprofit communications.

No money. No mission. No mission. No money.
Our system sheds the old paradigm of fundraising to reach financial goals.
It builds a fundraising culture that is giver-driven, with strong donor ties to charity missions. It is a coherently-organized system distilled from 30+ years of experience, with ideas that flow logically and work for organizations of all sizes.

We follow up our group training by coaching trainees one-on-one as they channel their organizations’ creativity and power into creating lasting relationships with people deeply connected with their missions, visions and values.

WEBSITE: 60,000+ ANNUALLY VISIT ONE-STOP RESOURCE FOR DONORS, VOLUNTEERS AND CHARITIES

More than 530 charities provide donors and site visitors insight into their organizations at our impactgiveback.org website. The site accommodates online donations to charity, with detailed reports for nonprofits to track donations, donors and giving trends for their organizations. Nonprofits can list their volunteer opportunities to match with people ready to serve.

IMPACT PTAC: STRENGTHENING THE ND ECONOMY AS BUSINESSES GAIN GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS

Impact PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center) stimulates job creation, growth and business retention when we help companies market their products and services to federal and state government. We advise business owners in how to review solicitations, understand necessary forms and regulations, and comprehend what the government is seeking through its specifications. New in 2014 is our specialized capacity to assist veteran-owned businesses in getting certified in the Department of Veterans Affairs Vet’s First Contracting Program.
