We created the Institute to help nonprofits dramatically improve their capacity to produce results. The Institute has helped over 100 nonprofit organizations increase their impact since early 2005 by providing them with training and technical assistance in the areas of organizational effectiveness, strategic planning and fundraising. We would not exist without the entrepreneurial support of our visionary founding organizations – Dakota Medical Foundation and The Alex Stern Family Foundation. We continue to improve and expand the depth of our capacity building resources and services – adding the GiveBack website, board governance training, and a volunteer management system for nonprofits in 2007-2008. In 2009, we are pleased to launch the Impact Leadership Institute. We have partnered with La Piana Associates which uses a proven successful curriculium to help executives and boards transform their communitites. Institute professionals have helped our nonprofit partners dramatically improve their impact in the community while also increasing their ability to obtain a greater amount of charitable contributions to sustain their important programs for the long-term. It is our belief that we all can increase our societal impact when we undertake a serious capacity improvement program that is based in simple principles designed to produce dramatic results. Our ultimate goal is to connect foundations, private donors and governmental funders with the more effectively operated nonprofits to further leverage our collective impact. |
