On February 14, 2012, DMF and Impact Foundation will hold the 5th Annual Giving Hearts Day. For one day only, DMF and other community donors will match online contributions of $10 or more made through
www.impactgiveback.org to benefit any of the charitable causes listed below. All the nonprofit participants chosen to be a part of the event have received in-depth fundraising training from our partner, Impact Institute. This day affords them an opportunity to build their capacity to raise money in an online environment. Last year 7,089 donations totaling over $1.1 million were made in 24 hours!
Each participant will be eligible to receive up to $4,000 in match funding and additional awards of $20,000, $15,000, $10,000, $7,500, $5,000, $3,000, $1,500 to the top seven online fundraisers.
There will also be a friendly competition for additional incentive grants for the participants:
- A $500 incentive grant will be awarded to the GHD nonprofit that receives donations from the most ND cities.
- The donor who makes the single largest donation will be given the opportunity to select a GHD nonprofit to receive an additional $500 grant.
- The donor who contributes to the most nonprofits (i.e., one donor gives to 10 GHD nonprofits) will be given the opportunity to select a GHD nonprofit to receive an additional $500 grant.
- The GHD nonprofit that receives donations from the most donors (not dollar amount but single individual donors) will receive an additional $500 grant.
- The GHD nonprofit that receives donations from the most U.S. states will receive an additional $500 grant.
- The GHD nonprofit that uses the most creative and effective marketing strategy for GHD will receive an additional $500 grant.
