The AARC was founded to provide emergency support, crisis intervention, temporary shelter, food, counseling, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence. We work with our clients and their children to help them find a life free from abuse. We also work with the community to develop an awareness and sensitivity to the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault and to establish programs to break the cycle of abuse.

The mission of Access of the Red River Valley is to provide care and support to children and adults with disabilities in their right to lead dignified, independent lives in the community.

The Alex Stern Family Foundation supports the arts, social welfare/human services, education, youth recreation, civic projects and health issues for the benefit of the greater Fargo-Moorhead area.

Alexa's Hope exists to end the waiting list for organ donation, such that no person in need of an organ transplant is denied due to the lack of available organs.

Alexa's Hope is committed to the following:

1.) Creating a culture where  registering as an organ/tissue donor is the norm and not the exception;

2.) Increasing the national donor designation rate from 42.7% to 60% (for now); and
 
3.) Removing obstacles that hinder organ donation and transplantation.

The Høstfest Heritage Foundation provides concierge services to those donors who share a passionate interest, and a desire to participate in the preservation and promotion of their Scandinavian heritage, culture, and values.  Our heritage is irreplaceable and we are its' conservators.

It is our purpose to honor the memory and continue the lifetime dedication of those who founded, promoted, and funded the Norsk Høstfest annual festival and the creation of the Scandinavian Heritage Park in Minot, North Dakota.  The park with its life-size Gol Stave Church, other buildings and statuary are tangible representations of our culture, a literal way of touching the past.  The Norsk Høstfest event provides intangible, but equally important aspects of our culture; the folklore, music, dances, and other traditions that remind us of who we are and how we got to be what we are.

The storytelling must continue.  There is much, much more to be done as we connect the past to our present, and as new chapters are written.  Inter-generational links must be strengthened if our culture and values are to remain a vibrant, living force for future generations.

The Impact-Cando Connection Fund promotes the GiveBack of time, talent, and treasure to benefit nonprofits, governmental and educational entities in and around the City of Cando.

Impact Foundation, along with Students Today Leaders Forever have established a fund in which it is possible to donate financially online to support the efforts of the largest food drive in Fargo's history. This food drive is aiming to bring together youth of all ages for a common good. Students from the elementary to the high school level all over the Fargo-Moorhead area are joining together to fill the floor of the Fargodome for local food pantries to ensure that needy individuals have a sufficient amount of food.

Our mission is to guide individuals affected by dyslexia through a comprehensive approach of screening, early intervention, education and advocacy.

POWER stands for Providing Opportunities With Empowerment and Respect. The POWER fund supports the YWCA in its mission to help families who are dealing with domestic violence. Our mission is to assist in providing transportation resources...helping to give these families a fresh start on life. We assist with funding for: cars, auto insurance, gasoline, vehicle maintenance, bus passes and other needs.

To provide assistance to individuals and community organizations who have been impacted by the spring flooding of the Red River of the North.

In 2010, the North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs established this charitable fund to support the emergency needs of North Dakota veterans and their eligible dependents, including health and healthcare access, economic recovery, homelessness and housing, education and training, and other emergency needs.

We treat preschool children (2-7 years) with speech/communication disorders to prepare them for successful entry into their elementary and high school years.  All treatment is entirely free to the patient and his/her family.  Evaluation of need, and subsequent treatment provided by ND licensed Sanford Medical Speech Pathologists. Requires that the parent(s) or guardians will bring the child to a specially designed treatment facility located at the Fargo Masonic Center. Treatment session appointments day or evening to accomodate family schedules.
 

                                         
It is our mission to assist physically challenged individuals to gain greater independence and autonomy by use of a trained and certified assistance dog, and to do so without adding excessive financial burden to those using our program.  The focus of our program is human service; the beneficiaties of our program are people.  Service Dogs for Amercia will use throughly tested and trained dogs as the vehicle to accomplish this purpose and will use human techniques to do so.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
