High Impact Fundraising Training

High Impact Fundraising Training is designed to help nonprofits create and implement a comprehensive fundraising system for effectively engaging donors, securing more resources, and building long-term sustainability. The training includes four day-long sessions followed by one-on-one technical assistance from professional consultants. Nonprofit representatives that participate in the training must commit to attending all four days of the program, and organizations are strongly encouraged have two or more staff and/or board members participate.

After the initial four days of training, the consultants help participants develop a customized, written fundraising plan for their organization. Having a written plan and calendar of annual fundraising activities helps the organizations better evaluate and manage efforts and more effectively recruit and retain the right candidates for their organizations. Coaching after the initial training day is a critical component of High Impact Fundraising Training. Our consultants are available to participants on a monthly basis for face-to-face consultations and are available for coaching by phone or email. The consultants will also give presentations to nonprofit boards of directors and staff as requested.

Since 2005, over 170 nonprofits across North Dakota and western Minnesota have been trained to raise more money for their missions. In 2009, a sampling of 22 nonprofits raised 48% more than they did in 2007, resulting in an additional $6.8 million to support their missions.
