The AARC was founded to provide emergency support, crisis intervention, temporary shelter, food, counseling, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence. We work with our clients and their children to help them find a life free from abuse. We also work with the community to develop an awareness and sensitivity to the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault and to establish programs to break the cycle of abuse.

The mission of Access of the Red River Valley is to provide care and support to children and adults with disabilities in their right to lead dignified, independent lives in the community.

To be recognized as a premier organization known for the rescue of homeless and unwanted aninals.  We strive to place these animals in suitable, responsible homes on a permanent basis.

The Alex Stern Family Foundation supports the arts, social welfare/human services, education, youth recreation, civic projects and health issues for the benefit of the greater Fargo-Moorhead area.

Alexa's Hope exists to end the waiting list for organ donation, such that no person in need of an organ transplant is denied due to the lack of available organs.

Alexa's Hope is committed to the following:

1.) Creating a culture where  registering as an organ/tissue donor is the norm and not the exception;

2.) Increasing the national donor designation rate from 42.7% to 60% (for now); and
 
3.) Removing obstacles that hinder organ donation and transplantation.

VISION: The vision of Aliive-Roberts County is to have a healthy and safe community for our youth and families. In order to fulfill the vision, the overall target areas for the organization are to reduce the percentage of youth risk taking behaviors such as violence, involvement in gangs, thinking about or attempting suicide, alcohol and other drug related behaviors among Roberts County and Lake Traverse Reservation youth.

In 2010, Brent Solseng established The Pam Solseng Ovarian Cancer Fund in memory of his wife, who died after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.  This Fund supports health-related projects and programs within Dakota Medical Foundation's service area, with a special emphasis on nursing and pharmacy education and ovarian cancer programs.

The mission of the Stephanie Goetz Foundation is to support programs and initiatives focused on bringing awareness about depression and other mental illnesses, giving hope and empowering those struggling with mental illness, removing the stigma of the disease, focusing on suicide prevention and improving access and affordable care for those living with mental illness. The fund may also support programs which address issues of domestic violence.

Filling The Gap is a grant program developed to lessen the financial burden for Altru Cancer Center patients who need to travel from northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota to receive cancer treatment. The original grant was made available by Gap Foundation, through the first ever Gap Founders’ Award.

First Care Health Center, founded by the Presentation Sisters, is dedicated to carrying out the healing mission of Jesus, in a rural setting. The following values identified in our Mission Statement are considered essential to the manner in which we provide services.

The Foster Grandparent Program is a part of Senior Corps along with RSVP and Senior Companions. Senior Corps is administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency that supports service and volunteering programs to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement.

Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota exists to help low income individuals to: (1) know and enforce their legal rights in critical areas impacting basic subsistence, such as access to healthcare, food, safe and sanitary shelter, protection from violence, services for disabilities, public benefits and basic income; (2) obtain effective access to courts, forums, or administrative agencies to obtain justice; and (3) acquire and preserve benefits, services and entitlements necessary to become self-reliant to the extent permitted by individual circumstances and abilities.  LSNM staff also teaches, trains, and develops and distributes materials concerning the law, and about individual rights, responsibilities and remedies in order to prepare for, and prevent, legal problems that will adversely impact low income elderly and disabled persons.

The mission of the Hillsboro Medical Center Foundation is to encourage and secure voluntary gifts and donations to support the mission of the Hillsboro Medical Center.
 

We treat preschool children (2-7 years) with speech/communication disorders to prepare them for successful entry into their elementary and high school years.  All treatment is entirely free to the patient and his/her family.  Evaluation of need, and subsequent treatment provided by ND licensed Sanford Medical Speech Pathologists. Requires that the parent(s) or guardians will bring the child to a specially designed treatment facility located at the Fargo Masonic Center. Treatment session appointments day or evening to accomodate family schedules.
 

                                         
It is our mission to assist physically challenged individuals to gain greater independence and autonomy by use of a trained and certified assistance dog, and to do so without adding excessive financial burden to those using our program.  The focus of our program is human service; the beneficiaties of our program are people.  Service Dogs for Amercia will use throughly tested and trained dogs as the vehicle to accomplish this purpose and will use human techniques to do so.

Sheyenne Care Center, in union with the Sisters of Mary of the Presentation, works for the glory of God by bringing the Word and Healing of Jesus Christ to all, with a special concern for the poor.

At St. Joseph’s School, various groups are selflessly working together to live out our three-part mission statement.  Together, our parents, students, faculty, staff, volunteers, parishioner supporters, and community supporters are working to lead children and families to Christ within the Catholic-Christian community; to foster the spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development of each person; and to prepare our students to use their knowledge and faith to be a light for the parish, community, and world.  There is a purpose to our undertakings at St. Joseph’s that distinguishes us from other schools and impacts our students throughout their lives.  Not only are we focused and vested in providing our students excellent educations, but in helping them grow into excellent people.  There is great work to be done at St. Joseph’s School, and we could not be happier to have you join us!

The Arc, Upper Valley promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

The Children's Museum at Yunker Farm is a non-profit organization providing a unique, dynamic setting for children and families of Fargo-Moorhead, West Fargo, and surrounding communities to learn and create through fun, interactive experiences.

The mission of The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society is to share God's love in word and deed by providing shelter and supportive services to older persons and others in need, believing that "In Christ's Love, Everyone is Someone."

To foster appreciation for the plant life indigenous of the Northern Plains through education for locals and visitors through year-round four season botanic garden and park.   The Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society ( NPBGS) fosters community through gardening by offering educational workshops, events and the opportuntiy to join the membership.    Together we will establish and operate a Conservatory, Botanic Garden and Aboretum in Fargo, North Dakota.    This project is the only garden of this magnatude from Saint Paul, Minnesota and Chanhassen, Minnesota to Denver, Colorado.  The board and volunteers are in phase one of developing a 52 acre botanic garden master plan for our region thanks to donated use of land from the Fargo Park District.

The People's Press Project (PPP) stands for the development and proliferation of Independent Media and the creation of new community based journalists to inform the community of the real news by the people and for the people.  We do this through training, access to equipment and strategic opportunities to develop media through Independent news sources, Social Networks and through the web.

The mission of The Village Family Service Center is to improve the quality of life through services designed to strengthen individuals, families and organizations.

Theatre B is a nonprofit that engages regional audiences through innovative productions that are artistically and culturally invigorating.

Serve the traveling public, providing for their comfort while visiting Historic Medora and Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

The Thief River Falls Education Foundation exists to promote innovative educational opportunities in School District #564 through partnerships involving alumni, parents, educators, businesses, and the greater community.

The Mission of Third Street Clinic is to provide timely access to health care services for residents of the Greater Grand Forks.

TNT Kid’s Fitness & Gymnastics Academy is organized for the purpose of providing all boys and girls, regardless of age, financial, mental or physical ability the opportunity to experience the benefits of gymnastics and fitness while becoming part of our family of athletes. Welcome House is a faith-based agency serving homeless individuals and families in the Bismarck/Mandan area.  Welcome House provides short-term shelter, assistance in obtaining permanent housing and a variety of supportive services.  Welcome House’s emphasis is on providing extensive case management and other supportive services for up to three years to help clients attain and retain permanent housing.  Welcome House fills a gap in the community by serving homeless that would not otherwise receive shelter, including two-parent families, families headed by single fathers, and families with teen age males.  

The West Fargo Park District’s Mission is to provide opportunities for its citizens to enjoy their leisure time in our public programs, facilities, and parks that:
