Mission

To operate a Union Mission which shall be religious, but non-sectarian; to cooperate with any and all agencies which seek to care for homeless and needy people with a view of helping them to a place of self-sufficiency and independent living through a program of spiritual, material and emotional assistance coupled with education and public awareness.

Background

Founded in 1907, the New Life Center is the largest provider to homeless people in the Fargo community. Primary programs include emergency shelter, meals, free clinic, substance abuse recovery program, mental health services, Veteran's Homeless Health Care Program, Chapel services & Bible Studies, advocacy and referral. In 2012, the New Life Center provided 37,501lodgings (average 103 per night); 110,474 meals (average 302 daily); 725 shelter residents received medical attention; 1801 family members received free clothing, furniture and other household items; meals, emergency shelter and Traveler's Aid; 1635 individuals stayed in the mens shelter; total individuals served = 4,230.
