To foster awareness and appreciation for wildlife around the world through public education, conservation and preservation.

Background

The Red River Zoological Society's mission is to "Connect People With Nature" and promote a unique, regional zoo culture dedicated to conservation and education.

The objectives of the Red River Zoological Society are to provide meaningful family recreation in an environment conducive to the appreciation of animal diversity; actively encourage and develop an atmosphere which supports community involvement and participation.

Future development focuses on creating a year-round recreational adventure facility that will serve as a regional destination for family entertainment.

Our wide variety of nature-based education programs impacted over 10,000 people within a 100 mile radius last year. These programs give both young and old an opportunity to experience up-close encounters with animals. At the zoo we provide Family ZooVenture programs, Day Camps, Wolf Wild Night Sleep-overs and many more programs that encourage people to care about our global environment and protect the critical habitats needed to save our planets biodiversity.
