Mission

The mission of Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc. is to provide opportunities to improve the quality of life for people and communities.

Background

Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc. (TVOC) is a community action agency headquartered in Crookston, MN. It is our Mission to provide opportunities to individuals and communities in order to improve the quality of our lives.

Since 1965, Tri-Valley has provided services in our primary service area of west Polk, west Marshall and Norman counties. Our service area has expanded throughout Minnesota and North Dakota over the years with services for seniors, families in crisis, migrant and seasonal farm workers, families in need of child care, rural transportation customers, families in need of housing or housing rehabilitation, and families seeking Head Start services.

Tri-Valley is governed by an 18 member Board of Directors. The membership of the board is composed of three sectors: Public Official Sector, Low-Income Sector, and Private Sector. Each sector is comprised of one-third residents from Polk County, one-third residents from Marshall County, and one-third residents from Norman County.
