Mission

Our mission is to guide individuals affected by dyslexia through a comprehensive approach of screening, early intervention, education and advocacy.

Background

Dyslexia silently crept into my life in 2006. It threatened my son's self-image, made me question my ability as a mother, and put a lot of stress on our family. We just didn't know what was happening or how to react to it. For the past 6 years I have been educating myself to help figure out how my son learns and to be able to translate that to all who know him. It was not an easy task, considering the lack of dyslexia awareness through out our region. Eventually, I found the knowledge that I had attained for personal reasons was being tapped by many others around me. I realized that others were suffering through the same process that we had, and decided that I could be a powerful source of help to other children and families who struggle with this little known learning difficulty. Through Haley's Hope, I am committed to connecting parents and children with the resources they need to not only survive, but to thrive, with dyslexia.
