Apply for a Dakota Medical Foundation Organizational Effectiveness Grant
Dakota Medical Foundation's Organizational Effectiveness Grantmaking Program enables
nonprofit and governmental organizations to secure planning, management, and leadership
development grants to improve their organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
The Foundation seeks to partner with nonprofit organizations to build their management,
governance, and leadership skills to better achieve their mission. This includes
supporting activities that result in:
- Boards of directors that are engaged in strategic decision-making focused on measuring
attainment of the organizational mission and the resources needed to accomplish
their objectives
- Programs that achieve planned objectives and are focused on the agency's primary
customer - the recipient of services
- Management that has the resources to effectively develop, manage, and assess organizational
programs, budgets, staff and boards of directors
- Organizations that can plan for the future, make strategic decisions, and develop
resources to serve its constituency
The Foundation will work in partnership with nonprofit organizations to provide
them with access to excellent management and board support services. The Foundation
believes the nonprofit organization's board, staff, and key constituents are in
the best position to determine their future.
The Foundation is not a direct provider of planning, management, and/or leadership
development services. Foundation staff members are available to provide technical
assistance, guidance, and resources to nonprofit organizations to assist them in
securing services that are based on best practices in the nonprofit management and
governance fields.
Application process:
- Complete an organization assessment tool on this
website or another tool of the organization's choosing.
- Based on the assessment, submit a letter of intent describing what is needed to
