Use this information to determine which organizations are in line with
your charitable interests.

When you select a nonprofit, review the title, purpose, and skills that are
listed for each of their volunteer opportunities to help you match your
interests and skills with the organization’s need.
|
4.

Determine how much time you are able to commit. Nonprofits have listed their volunteer openings as either special events or ongoing opportunities. Special events are generally a one time occasion while ongoing opportunities refer to activities recurring on a regular basis.

If your first search reveals an area of interest, we encourage you to contact the nonprofit directly and visit with them about volunteering.
|
6.
|
We encourage you to set up your own confidential membership to receive timely updates on volunteer opportunities. This way the system will send you e-mails of any new special events or ongoing volunteer opportunities that match your individual interests and skills. Additional information and instructions on how to do this are provided at Search for a Nonprofit Organization to Volunteer your Time and Talent.
