Our region, North Dakota and Minnesota, ranks in the top quarter for volunteerism by state! A 2010 study by the Corporation for National and Community Service ranked Minnesota #3 with a volunteer rate of 37.5% and North Dakota #12 with a rate of 33.6% compared to the national average of 26.8%.
Impact’s goal is to make our region #1 by far!
Since 2007, the Impact Institute has provided Volunteer Management Training to 35 nonprofits to help them more effectively recruit, place, train, and retain volunteers. Look at the impact the volunteers for these organizations are making:
3,535 – volunteers per year
84,840 – hours contributed by each volunteer
$1,359,985 – value of hours volunteered
Think about the difference we could make in our communities and our world if we all volunteered our time and talent!
